Pastor Shawn Broadnax
Pastor Shawn Broadnax is a dynamic and visionary leader, renowned for profound spiritual insight and dedication to fostering community through faith. As the founding pastor of TACA (The Assembly of Christ’s Apostles) Church in Maryland, he has been instrumental in creating a vibrant community rooted in the “Doctrine of Love," inspired by Romans 8:38-39, which asserts that nothing can separate us from the love of God.
Born and raised in an environment rich with gospel heritage, Pastor Shawn felt a calling to ministry from a young age. His journey in ministry was significantly shaped by his appointment as Associate Pastor of The River Church in Waldorf, MD, in 2021, a role that deepened his leadership skills and pastoral experience. In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Shawn was ordained in the office of Elder under One Way Churches International, recognizing his commitment and service in spreading the gospel.
Transitioning from a successful career in music, particularly in the Christian Hip-Hop genre, Pastor Shawn brings his creative passion to TACA Church, infusing the worship services with a unique blend of contemporary styles. His approach to ministry is holistic, emphasizing not only spiritual growth but also personal and community development.
Pastor Shawn's educational background includes advanced studies in theology and biblical studies, equipping him with deep scholarly insights that enrich his sermons and teachings. His leadership is not confined to the pulpit; he is deeply involved in community outreach and development programs, aiming to impact lives beyond the walls of the church.
Pastor Shawn’s vision is that TACA Church will grow into a nurturing ground for future leaders and a hub for community service. Pastor Shawn is committed to the vision of expanding TACA Church to other communities across the nation, aiming to spread the transformative power of God's love through multiple campuses.
Married to Lady Kisha Broadnax, a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor, Pastor Shawn is a devoted husband and father. Together, they work to bring emotional and spiritual healing to their community, making TACA Church a sanctuary for all seeking solace and strength. His life and work are a testament to his faith and his dedication to his calling.
